The Laboratory is staffed by three (3) faculty members from the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering at the University of West Attica, who constitute the core research team of the Laboratory. The core research team of the Laboratory of Computing and Embedded Systems, IoT, and Optimization, according to the founding decision, consists of:
The core research team may also include researchers with a doctoral degree who have any form of employment relationship with the University of West Attica, and whose field of study or specialization is directly related to the aforementioned subjects.
The Laboratory’s personnel also includes PhD candidates, as well as undergraduate or postgraduate students who are conducting their doctoral dissertation or thesis, respectively, at the Laboratory and using its equipment.
As part of the Laboratory’s research collaborations with other similar Laboratories, collaborating researchers may include faculty members from other Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) or Research Centers, both domestic and international, as well as emeritus professors from the University of West Attica, the former TEI of Athens, and the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences.
Members of the Laboratory Technical Staff (LTS) may be employed to offer auxiliary work, following a request and a decision by the Assembly of the relevant Department and with the agreement of the Laboratory’s administration.
